a new beginning

so, due to peer pressure (pun intended for those who get it) i'm restarting this blog i've just returned from bucharest this morning so this will be a short post as i'm rather tired. i'm flying to reykjavik this friday via berlin. i've found a pic of the plane i'll be taking from berlin, nice. i used to joke about the fact that since it has only two engines, if one should malfunction, it would only be able to fly in circles - for some reason my mom doesn't enjoy these jokes :( anyway, i'm back on the job and i'll post next time on saturday maybe

Glad to see you back! And have a nice flight to Reykiavik, with both engines on :)

I don't believe it will be very cold. But it will be damn DARK. Actually here in Bergen the winters are much milder than at home --> Gulf stream. This should also apply to Reykjavik.

I wish I could try those geothermal baths :-)

Quote from Wikipedia:
"Many light twin-engined aircraft are designed to be capable of at least a marginal climb on one engine, even carrying the maximum load at take-off."

Don't post negative thoughts here. But I'm not the superstitious type. So anyway once you're in the air, you can land without engines too, but it's pretty hard for two engines to go down on the same flight.
Have fun with the turbulences anyway, I love it when they tell you after it's already happened. Just think that you're in a tractor on a country road in Romania, and everything's heki.

Ki wo tsukete, Tibi-san.

Well, the most important thing in flying is that the number of take-offs to be exaclty equaled by the number of touch downs.

Make those clean touchdowns. With the original number or more engines than the plane originally had.

happened to me once... that one engine failed... but i`ve told you the story already (plus i don`t think my plane had only too engines anyway) so i won`t bore you more.
