for lack of a better topic, i´ll just post a picture from the cleanroom. i´m the fat guy in the middle, right next to the ellipsometer. the cleanroom itself is somewhere between a class 100 and 1000 (this means the number of particles of 0.5 micron diameter per cubic feet).
there is a lot going on in there , but i myself, right now, am doing some thin gold strips on a specific polimer -benzocyclobuthene- by means of uv photolithography (they will serve as plasmonic waveguides).

you don´t know half of it. the cooling system is also off-line, cause we´re planning to buy a new one.
but it´s not that bad. i like it myself.
